Frances Ryan was born in Longford Ireland and currently lives and works in Bangor, Co. Down, Northern Ireland. She has had solo exhibitions in Belfast, Dublin and Cork and has taken part in group exhibitions in Ireland and the UK, including the Royal Academy London Summer Exhibition London, the Royal Hibernian Academy Dublin and Royal Ulster Academy Belfast. Her work forms part of public collections including the Office of Public Works (OPW), the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, AIB Bank, the Four Seasons/Intercontinental Hotel, Dublin, the Ballinglen Arts Foundation Archive and the Boyle Civic Collection, Co. Roscommon
